Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: A mason named as Arakhita Nath hailing from Khamanga village six km away from here had killed by few fellow villagers owing land dispute on Saturday.
Report said the deceased came under wrath of the villagers when he was returning from Purunagada on Saturday afternoon, a group of villagers attacked him when he was passing deserted canal embankment with lethal weapons, locals rescued the victim from the clutches of villagers and sent him to headquarters hospital for treatment where he was declared brought dead.
Deceased’s wife Trupti Rekha Nath has lodged an FIR in police station stating accused persons named as Rama Nath, Sambhu Nath, Jagabandha Nath, Avhi Nath, Sanjaya Nath, Bijaya Nath have killed her husband, acting on the complaint police after conducting legal formalities have lodged a case and launched manhunt to nab the culprits, informed police.
