Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: In a bizarre incident two sisters had committed suicide by hanging themselves in ceiling fan on Friday. Report said that the duo deceased girls have been identified as Subhasmita Sahoo [23] and her younger sister Priyanka Sahoo [19] both hailing from Nabapatana village six km away from here.

According to deceased girls father Bishnu Sahoo said on occurrence day both the girls were remained alone in house when others had moved outside and he had gone to Jagatsinghpur hospital taking his wife when he reached home at afternoon found both his daughters were hanged in ceiling fan. Police rushed to spot and recovered the dead bodies and sent for postmortem and registered an unnatural death case bearing No 21/ 12 in jagatsinghpur police station.

BJD delegation led by Puri MP Pinaki Mishra today visited Suansia Sahi and met the family members of the victims of Monday's mishap. Mishra gave Rs. 50, 000 to each victim's family from his MPLAD fund. The delegation also had Nayagarh MLA Arun Sahu and Ranpur MLA Satya Ranjan Pradhan.
