Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: About one week has been passed on Thursday, the Mazurai primary school in Sainpur village has been locked up by angry guardians and villagers, reason the school sans required number of teachers, inadequate class rooms and district education department pays little attention and unable be seen their visible grievances.
Report said that as many as 100 students in five classes are studying in this school only two lady teachers have been deployed conveying lessons and school works. Guardians and village education committee [VEC] before starting current education years had approached District Inspector [DI] of schools apprising him the difficulty students are suffering owing lack of teachers and required class rooms.
Ironically district education department turned a precious little on the complaint, as consequence angry villagers had again apprised sub collector Jagatsinghpur citing their difficulties and had threatened if their demands did not meet within seven days they would locked up the school, after taking a patent hearing from guardians sub collector had instructed DI taking needful and making a spot visit , interestingly after receiving lukewarm response from education department and DI the angry villagers and guardians locked up the school building on 13 July and school functioning came to a grinding halt since that day and students are being deprived attending classes. In this regard about 53 guardians have apprised district collector seeking his intervention on Wednesday.
