Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: Beware eateries as hotels, restaurants; food stalls those are serving contaminated, decayed foods in Jagatsinghpur town, acting on public complaints district administration has launched a drive to punish these errant food vendors.

Sources said that on Wednesday morning health department officers led by Dr Mamata Sahoo visited few eateries locate in town surroundings bus stand, Bada bazaar and Thana Chhak areas and inspected food stuffs stored inside these shops, interestingly most of the shops had found serving decayed foods and sweet stalls had spotted selling out of date sweets. As part of action most of musty foods had recovered from many shops and sent for laboratory test after receiving examination report action would be taken against the wayward shop owners, however shops found sour food articles after recovering, these food items had thrown in dust bins, health officials informed.
