Report by Basanta Rath; Nabarangpur: The consumer counseling center of district consumer court Nabarangpur  organised a consumer awareness workshoCp at court hall here on Wednesday.

District Consumer Court president, who is also chief guest Laxmi Narayan Padhy inaugurated the workshop, while  information officer Mr. Boolu Hota, hosted the meeting and said the rural consumers are not aware of their rights it is high time for the NGOs to create  greater awareness among the rural public of their rights as consumers.

Senior Advocate N.Ahmed, spoke about consumer protection law while DCDRF President Mr. Padhy elaborated consumer rights and duties, the consumer disputes and solutions during the awareness workshop. The participants for the workshop were being drawn from different sections of society such as representatives of NGOs, women organisations, media and government officials.Among others DCDRF member Aswani Mohapatra, Pravati Mishra, DCPC members present at the meeting.
