Anugul: Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), in joint collaboration with the NRHM and ICDS, rolled out the mobile health van to mark the 82nd birth anniversary of its founder Shri Om Prakash Jindal in Banarpal block.
The health van is equipped with facilities for haemoglobin check-up, Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) tablets, iron-rich seed kits and an electronic, interactive touch screen facility with a health quiz for girls. About, 266 adolescent girls from the periphery underwent haemoglobin check-up. Among others, Jarasingha Gram Sabha president Prahlad Pradhan, Jarasingha Sarpanch Mina Dei and LHB, Koshala, Lalita Nanda were present.
Flagging off the Kishori Express-II at a programme organised by the Jarasingha Gram Sabha at Jarasingha Girls High School, Chief Guest Angul ADM Sushant Kumar Barik stressed upon improving the health of the adolescent girls (future mothers).
