Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: Odisha-based media rights body Media Unity for Freedom of Press (MUFP) appeals for financial assistance for treatment of media personnel Pabitra Mohan Khunitia. Khunitia has been admitted into Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar after a fatal accident and is under treatment of Dr. Sunil Ku, Dash, (consultant Orthopedics .

The Kalinga Hospital has already given an estimate of Rs 2, 97.000.00 ( Rupees Two Lakhs and Nintyseven thousand only ) towards his treatment, which is a huge amount for his family to meet.

MUFP Chief Prasanta Patnaik appeal all on behalf of MUFP Presidium to extend your financial support for treatment of Pabitra by depositing your contribution in the name of Pabitra Mohan Khutia, SBI, Bhubaneswar main Branch Account No. 20129468770 at the earliest and pray God for his speedy recovery.

Alternatively Account Payee Cheques issues in the name of Pabitra Mohan Khuntia in any bank may kindly handed over to Prasanta Patnaik or Mr Sampad Mohapatra, so that MUFP can deposit in Pabitra's account immediately and place it in the net for information of all.

It should be noted that Pabitra Mohan Khuntia ( Nilu ), a camera assistant with Kamyab TV has been very seriously injured in a road mishap near Rasulgarh last night and has been rushed to Kalinga Hospital in a critical state. He was first hit by a car and then by a ten-wheeler and has sustained grievous injuries.
