Report by OD bureau; Nabarangpur: Fifteen persons have so-far died in diarrhea in various block of Nabarangpur district. Diarrhea has taken away the sleep of not only common people but also medical people and local administrative in this area. No proper medical team has been reached and treating in this constituency. So far in Chandakandi block the total toll is twelve.
Today morning after meeting the affected people in Chandakandi Block, local MP Sri Pradeep Majhi discussed with local doctor who are treating the patients. Like this he has met all family members of deceased who lost their life in diarrhea.
Expressing this dissatisfaction, MP said Centre UPA government’s National Rural Health Mission whose sole aim to carry out necessary architectural correction in the basic health care delivery system; however cores of money are being eaten by state dispensation without reaching the common people.
He asked the health department not to hide the exact death figure along with total affected people details in his area. He reasoned the state dispensation to take proactive action in reaching to the masses and take precautionary step to completely eradicate this disease.
Initial report suggests that Irked over the deaths due to the use of contaminated water along with poisonous mushroom eaten by local people.
