Report by OD bureau; Dhenkanal: Today at Gengutia Railway Gate Anti Corruption Committee workers under the leadership of their President & great  farmer leader Er. Debashisha Hota, agitated for a Passanger Halt for the Kamakhyanagar & Bhuban People. The Dhenkanal Sadar Tahasildar rushed to the spot , received the 3-charter demand note & give assurance to take immediate action by the administration consulting with the Principal Chief Engineer of East Coast Railways.

Here noteworthy that, hundreds of Kamakhyanagar & Bhuban People are daily coming to go by trains towards Cuttack, Bhubaneswar & Angul. They watch the trains in the morning when coming by Bus at this Railway Gate, but can’t step in. They’ve to go to the Dhenkanal Station, 4 km away, step down at Station Bazar & run for half kilometer. This is pathetic.

Again, now after demands for number of times by the Committee, one fly-over is under construction. The vehicles of the contractor are standing for more than hours in both sides which caused unnecessary traffic-jam even for emergency services like ambulance & fire extinguisher vehicles. When sufferers moved to lodge complaint against this, they are misbehaved by the Gatekeepers & Senior Section Engineer.

Declare this Gate as Passenger Halt, take serious action against the corrupted officials & the Contractor. Otherwise, we’ll intensify the agitation all over the District, Hota threatened on this occasion.

Hundreds of Anti Corruption Committee workers from all over the District come to the agitation by their own. The District leaders spoke on this occasion are Ranjan Lenka, Niranjan Sahu, Surendra Prusty, Bijay Pradhan, Satyananda Sahu, Chakradhar Sandha, Palau Naik,Sarat Behera, Srinibas Nanda, Dhaneswar Rout, Kiran Pradhan, Rahul Raymahalik, Nibaran Mahabhoi, Duryodhan Jena, Pitabas Malik, Pramod Sethy, Kedar Malik, Chandrakant Pradhan, Baikuntha Biswal, Anil Panigrahy & Hajari Naik.
