Report by Manoranjan Routray; Koraput: Minister for school and mass education Mr. Rabi Narayan Nanda said that the district administration would take all measures to open more Jana Aushadhi centres, the generic medical stores in all government area hospitals in the district, to provide quality medicines at cheaper rates to patients while inaugurating the second Jan Aushadhi store of koraput district on the premises of the sub-divisional headquarters hospital at Jeypore on Saturday.
Peoples from Jeypore sub-division and neighboring district Malkangiri and Nabarangapur also depend on Jeypore hospital for treatment and the generic medicine store will be very helpful for them, especially the tribals, as they will get quality medicines at affordable prices," said Mr. Nanda.
CDMO Mr. Pramod Mohanty said that the store would have the best quality medicine manufactured by the Government of India Public Undertaking. Medicines of as many as 40 different categories will be available at the store to start with, which will be subsequently increased, he added.
