Rourkela: A Maoist woman cadre was arrested from the jungles of Saranda on the borders of Jharkhand and Odisha by security personnel today.
Special Opeartion Group, district volunteer force and the local police had launched a joint search operation this morning and netted the 19 year-old Maoist cadre, identified to be hailing from Jharkhand, near Topadihi, police said. She later confessed her involvement in several Maoist-related activities. She has been accused of being a member of the Maoist team which attacked the security forces in June, the police said.
