Report by Manoranjan Routray, Koraput: Today, in the evening Koraput town police arrested a young boy namely Roshan Khara who was demanding money in the name of Maoist from A.Periaswamy, Divisional Forest officer, Koraput.

According to IIC, Koraput, Subash Chandra Rayguru, Mr. Periaswamy reported that someone was making hoax call from a mobile number demanding cash of Rupees 10,000/- on 7th October 2012 and the caller identified himself as Maoist and demanded to drop the cash near OSAP Ground, Koraput. In response, the Superintendent of Police, Koraput, Abinash Kumar directed to form a team to catch the miscreants raid handed.

Today, in the evening the police team nabbed Roshan while he was attempting to collect the demanded cash said, Rayguru to media. Police have also seized a mobile phone and registered a case No 85/2012 and investigating the case. The IIC further said, the police making all efforts to book all the persons involved in the incident of impersonation and cheating.
