Report by Subha Ranjan Nath, Angul: The leading TV channel FOCUSS Celebrated its 6th anniversary with elan by organising a brain storming symposium at Sabhaghara on 14th oct.2012.

Minister Steel and mines Rajanikanta Sing joined as Chief Guest and called upon the media persons and industrial house to discharge their obligations with dedication. He urged all concerned to dream of a developed Angul without pollution and much adverse impact upon the environment and described the local media ‘s role in development.

Nilamber Rath CEO of Academy of Media learning joined in annual function as chief speaker and explained the role of media and especially local TV news channel’s responsibility. He outlined details of sharing the news with all over odisha .

Prof. Bhabani Prasad Mishra  and Social worker Krishna Mohanty  who joined as guest of honor   explained the various conflict zones between development and role of media , they  also request  the media persons to focus , explain and respect on the  issues impacting the people.

Sr Lecture Santanu Kumar Sar introduced the guests and set the agenda of the house for a thrilling discussion. Sri Tapan Das (Director FOCUSS) delivered the president speech address . Sri Sangram Ranjan Nath ( News-Head) proposed a vision of focuss news and mission . and then a fascinating montages of selected video clipping of the year 2011-2012 programme of FOCUSS was presented to the audiences.

Focuss also arranged various competition in different zone like dance, music, art and  instrumental music .on this occasion on 13 th oct.2012..The winners are awarded by all invited guests .
