Report by Basant Rath, Nabarangpur: The district administration observed National Disaster Reduction day and Odisha disaster Preparedness day here on Monday, with a march which culminated with a rally from Sadasiva Tripathy Park to Mission Shakti Hall.

The rally was flagged off by Collector Ms.Yamini Sarangi, with an aim of urging people to prepare themselves to fight against natural calamities and reduce damages caused by it.

Later a meeting was organised at mission Shakti hall ADM Suradev Sahu, presided over meeting while Collector Ms.Yamini Sarangi, was the chief guest, Lecturer Subhendu Mohanty, chief speaker, APD, Gopinath Sarka, and Bibhu Brahma spoke on the occasion. 

Among others DIPRO, Bhujang Bhusan Rao, DFO,Saleram Marandi, CDPOs, Supervisor’s collectorate staffs and anganwadi workers participated in the rally.
