Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Tuesday accorded in-situ promotion to two senior IPS officers, including V Thiagarajan who is to retire on Wednesday

According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department, Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, Sanjeev Marik and Additional DG of Police, Training, V Thiagarajan were elevated to the highest rank in the police set-up as Directors General of Police. With the promotion, Marik’s post would be DG of Police, Headquarters. Thiagarajan would retire as DG of Police, Training.
