Mumbai: Yash Raj Films announces its next release, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT. Directed by Maneesh Sharma (Associate Director on the immensely successful Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) and Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film stars newcomer Ranveer Singh along with Anushka Sharma as the lead pair. The music has been composed by the talented duo, Salim - Sulaiman.

Ranveer (Bittoo), a complete fresher with no modelling or acting experience, was selected after his very first audition, having impressed Aditya Chopra instantly.

Anushka (Shruti), after her dream debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, takes on this challenging role in her third film with YRF.

Shruti and Bittoo are just out of Delhi University. A chance and inopportune meeting brings them together to reluctantly start a tumultuous entrepreneurial venture as Wedding Planners. Their business enters the ups and downs of the lavish world of the glamour and glitz of Delhi baaraats and weddings that will test their friendship over time.
