Saregama India launches 'Sai Ki Tasveer' by Richa Sharma

Report by Santanu Ganguly; Faridabad: "You must pass your days in song. Let your whole life be a song" so said the famous Indian saint Sai Baba. As a special dedication to such a great. preacher of peace and lover of song, India's Flagship music company Saregama India Ltd launched well-known playback singer Richa Sharma's soulfully-devotional album called "Sai Ki Tasveer".

Apart from being a tribute to the great sage, the album also mark the opening of a new Sai Baba temple in Faridabad, which has recently been built by Richa Sharma - in loving memory of her parents Late Pandit Daya Shankar and Late Manorama Devi. The album which is named "Sai Ki Tasveer' and sung by Richa, is not only her way of paying homage to the saint, but also her way of blessing the opening of this new temple, in the most appropriate way.
Before the launch Richa Sharma met the press, followed by the formal launch and her live performance, she was later joined by renowned singer Hans Raj Hans. The jugalbandi of two of the popular singers mesmerised the devotees. Richa Sharma presented 'Sai Ki Tasveer Main Aisi Banaungi..', 'Mere Sarkar Ka Khajana..', 'Mere Sai Ne Itna Diya Hai..', 'Palki Chalo Uthayein..' etc. from her new album. Hans Raj Hans in his Sufiana style presented few bhajans which also included 'Gaale Bhajan Sai Bhajan..' which enthralled the audience and others present there.

While talking to media, Richa Sharma said, 'this temple is 30 year old dream of my father, who wanted to established a huge monument of Sai Baba, where devotees can come, sit and enjoy the peace but at that time it was not possible and  I'm very pleased to fulfill my father's dream.' About the album Richa said, 'the album contains 8 bhajans which included 3-4 qawwalis, I have sung all the bhajans, in one bhajan my friend Vipin Aneja has given his voice.' During the interaction Richa also sang few lines of her popular songs like;'Sajda Tera Sajda...' and 'Billo Raani Kaho To Abhi Jaan De Dun..'.

On this occasion Adarsh Gupta (Music Head, Saregama India Ltd. said, "We at Saregama do our level best to make sure that our culture and tradition is kept alive so that our roots are not forgotten. In this age when people are moving away from faith we want them to remember Sai Baba who taught moral code of love, contentment, inner peace and devotion, so the idea of "Sai Ki Tasveer". We are extremely proud and happy to be launching this new album by Richa Sharma. Richa has put in a lot of effort in the making of the Sai temple in Faridabad, with her passion and hard work that she put into the album we are sure to reach out to all the Sai Baba devotees & create a positive environment".
