Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed film director Nila Madhab Panda meets Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Secretariat on Thursday. Panda accompanied by several national and international film personalities meet Patnaik and apprised him about the potential of various destinations in Odisha for international film shooting.
Panda is working on documentary films on Odisha tribals. It should be noted that Panda is in Bhubaneswar for a 10-day workshop 'Green Screen Lab 2012' for quality children's cinema in India to create a 'new wave' in Indian Children's cinema with imagination, care and respect for the family audience. It was organized by the KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences in association with Eleeanora Images Pvt. Ltd (EI), New Delhi and Performing Arts Labs (PAL), London.
Noted German director Arend Agthe, Indian new-age filmmaker Onir and screenwriter Sanjay Chouhan of "I am Kalam" and "Paan Singh Tomar" fame mentored 18 screenplays for children's cinema at this Green Screen Lab 2012.
The selected screenplay writers are Adhiraj Singh (Forgot About Mina); Anusha Nandakumar & Sandeep Saket (Mountain by the Roadside), Bassanti Pathak (Pincha My Talking Dog), Bhaskarjyoti Das (The Puppet Theatre),Dominic Megam Sangma (My Mother's Dream), Gaurav Saxena (Rangzen), Jyoti Nisha (Kahani Chamki Aur Cheeku Ki), Reema Borah (Yeh Jo Hara Hai), Reema Sengupta (Kayko), Romi Meitei (My Home), Shazia Khan (Sabiha), Soumendra Padhi (Time to Run), Sudipto Sen (Amatali), Utpal Borpujari (Ishu) and Vijay Rajan Singh (A Roadside Dream),Irfan jami(jaagna mana hai'),Mohinder Singh (Bhujang),and K Ramchandran (Children of Rhythm).
