Report by Bhaskar Chandra Pradhan; Bhubaneswar: With a view to projecting , promoting, popularizing and encouraging the wide range of performing arts of western Odisha  and its artistes The Department of Tourism and Culture  Government of Odisha  organized  A Three  days  festival of Dance & Music of western Odisha  organized at Rabindra Mandap organized y Sanjita natak Akademi.

 People all over the corner of the city gave His/ Her time to see the lovely and beautiful charming evening.  The western Odisha gifted with an enormous wealth of folk art forms.  Folk dance and music of western Odisha are the manifestatations of beautiful and rhythmic expression of human feelings.  It is distinctive because it is spontaneous and tells about the every day joy and sorrows of life, rite and rituals, Nature and tales of epics and romances. The wooded hinterland of the state of western Odisha is a store house of impressive folk and tribal music and dance forms and each sub region has its own grammar and the local environs and customs have great deal of bearing on respective art forms. 

On the 1st day solo singer Dukhishyam Tripathy singing PIU THA TU TAKA TAKA,  BULI BULI SING DUARA,   Renewed artist  Dillip Bag and Padmini Bag – presents  DHUBULA MUKHI….TURI BAJE JHANJHHI,, KALABAT MOR KALA KAJALI & JHIKIMIKI DUEI GAKLA…… LAL MANDARAMaa samleswari dalia khusa kaslparisad,Pancham Group Dance , Bolangir the songs are orchestrated with dhol, mahuri, Nisan, Tamki & tasa etc.  on the second day  The first singer of RANGABATI  Jitendriya Haripal  Presented the Lovely Music of RANGABTI to Audience. , Solo Artist Padmini Dora Presents- AERA BABUI SAMAGHANA TUI GAKLE MADHU BHUBAN, KANHU DAKIDEAI DASA RATI .

The artist of Nuapara  presents- Pancharasi, Rasrkeli, Dalkhai, Jaiful, Sajani& Maila Jada and the troup of  RANGA FARUA sambalpur  Presented Badya VIchira  , Mahabir Sanskrutika Anusthan, Bhawani Ptna  Presented BAJASAL. the festival was innngurated  by principal secretary  tourism and culture , Ashok Kunar  Tripathy, Culture Director, Sushil Kumar Das,  cairperson  of state commissiom for Women Dr. Jyoti Panigrhi and Oddishi exponent Guru Rama Hari dash On this Beautiful  event Sarat pujari president of OSNA ,Aruna Mohanty Vice President OSNA , Chitta Ranjan Malia Secretary of  OSNA,  and others are here ON THE SECOND DAY Minister Praffula samal , Health Minister Prasana achraya, Satya Prakash Ananda,  participated as Guest.
