Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: In recent time readers hardly find a value based news. Incase someone find a good news, he can’t trust its content. This kind of news items in different media contradicts among them.
This view has been expressed at a state level conference organized by Odisha Journalists Union, at Jyadev bhawan, here today. Participating in this conference State I & PR minister Arun kumar sahoo said, journalists should not step back form their responsibilities.
This would never be a duty of a journalist to put down his own view upon the reader. Sole job of a scribe is to present news embedded with fact. If media goes out of track then our society will collapse.
Media persons in the state are working with some hazards, these are going to be sorting out soon, Sahoo added. Other dignitaries like legislator Ashok Chandra Panda, industrialist Dillip mohanty emphasized on the role of media in up holding our fundamental rights.
In this event sculpture Ashok khatua, scribe Dayanidhi dash and administrator Basant kumar sahu were felicitated. In the second session a media orientation program was held by Mrunal chatargee, Chief if IIMC.
