Report by Sudhashree Dash, Dubai: Odias residing in Dubai celebrated Ganesh Puja with much excitement and vigour. Under the banner of Odisha Samaj- UAE (OSUAE) more than hundred of Odia families across UAE, gathered for this occasion. Puja was done according to the rituals including AARTI AND PUSHPANJALI. After Pushpanjali typical Odia prasad ( Chuda Ghasa ) was distributed.

At the end of the Puja, traditional Odia Lunch was served to the members sitting on the ground in the traditional style. Although the day was a working day here, people were seen to be making all their efforts to reach the venue on time to be a part of this celebration. Odisha Samaj- UAE has been organising Ganesh Puja for last four years. Earlier this year, Utkal Divas was also organised with much excitement by the community.
 
The Samaj constantly endeavours to organise get-togethers at regular intervals coinciding with odia festivals in order to bring the Odia families living in the United Arab Emirates . Odisha Samaj- UAE is a registered body in UAE which encourages Odisha's cultural and traditional activities in UAE.
