Report by OD bureau, Bhubaneswar: Two year B.Ed. Trainees of Regional Institute of Education, a constituent unit of NCERT made a splendid display of their creativity in the teaching aid exhibition held on October 1, 2012, in the Institute Campus.

More than hundred twenty  teaching aids on Physical science, biological sciences, geometry, social sciences and languages were exhibited in the one day exhibition. The objective of this exhibition was to encourage student teachers prepare low cost no cost teaching aids and disseminate the creative teaching learning materials. Prof K.B.Rath, Principal of the institute inaugurated the Exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students. Prof S.P.Pattnaik, Dean of Instruction was present in the occasion.

Teachers, students and other visitors to the exhibition appreciated the young teachers for their creative work. The programme coordinator, Dr. Laxmidhar Behera appreciated the teaching aids in general and functioning models in particular made by students and encouraged them to make use of such aids in their routine teaching at different levels of education. The exhibition was followed by an interaction session among faculties and trainees.
