Pritam Panda is the 2nd Indian designer ever to be showcasing in Paris successively since the last 3 years. The show started with a bang with a folk music from the designer’s home state in eastern india (Odissa) formally known as DHOOMSAA beats and soon got juxtaposed with few trance and high tempo music..As the models went on sashaying the designer’s minutely and intricately handcrafted and embellished regular luxury prêt creations on the walk through..The French models looked fantastically glamorous and rose the temperatures hi with the low backs and the pelvic point slits..The designer unlike the last year showcased a mixed bag line but had the feel of India through his fabulous collections of silk (from remotes of his home state and neighbouring states) well mixed with the plush and global contouring of the silhouettes. The show went on as regular till the music dropped to an opera orchestra piece as the show stopper models displayed the two most outrageous evening outfits in Yello silk (classified as hand woven tussar from the locals of Odissa) and d other in a white Chantilly ..Embellished with lakhs of shinning crystals couched with fresh water pearls, that gave both of it that million dollar classic haute couture feel. The show has been well appreciated by the French and English fashion critics and lovers. ”Awe India is famous for its royal heritage and Panda proves that every time in his collections, Paris welcomes him everytime, we love his clothes and his creations are so intricate and luxurious” says Mrs. Aneroic Catilo, cwho is a client and the CEO of Moet and Chandon, Paris.
