Bhubaneswar: The Film Society of Bhubaneswar (FSB) will hold a three-day-long 8th Annual Festival of World Cinema starting from November 3 at the Jayadev Bhavan here.
The festival has three sections in morning, afternoon and evening. The afternoon session of the first day is dedicated to Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa and three major works of the master filmmaker would be featured over the next two days.
The evening session of each day will feature contemporary cinema from around the world. Starting at 6 pm of November 3, following the formal inauguration of the festival, it will feature two films each evening with a break of 15 minutes between the screenings. The opening film of the festival is A Separation, a well-acclaimed movie by Iranian writer and director Ashghar Farhadi. The morning session of November 4 and 5 will focus on documentaries from Chile.
