Central University of Odisha organises a seminar on Role of HR Manager in Managing Change
Report by Nishapati Nayak, Sunabeda: A seminar on ‘Role of HR Manager in managing Change’ held at permanent campus of Central University of Orissa on 11 February, 2017. The seminar was organised by the Dept of Business Management of the University. Mr. T. Vidyasagar, General Manager (HRD), J.K. Paper Mills Ltd, Rayagada delivered the speech as Chief Guest of the seminar.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty conveyed his best wishes for the seminar and urged the students to learn HR management technique in a change process for managing a business organisation from the vast experience of T. Vidyasagar, in his message.
Mr. T. Vidyasagar shared his vast experience in the field of management and emphasised crucial role of human resource manager during change process in any business organisation. By citing examples of corporate world, he opined that, every business organisations is undergoing change due to automation, knowledge based management and mergers & acquisitions etc. He visualised change management process as a corporate team work and emphasised on job security of employees foreffective implementation of change in any organisation. He stressed on effective communication and ability to convince human resource as crucial parameters for smooth change process in organisation.
Ms. Y. Anupama, student of 4th semester MBA proposed welcome address and Gangadhar Mandi, student of 4th semester MBA offered a formal vote of thanks in the seminar. Dr. A. Mohan Muralidhar, Department In-Charge was present in the seminar while Dr. Pritish Behera, Lecturer, Department of Business Management organised the seminar. All students of the Department of Business Management have participated in large in the seminar.
