Bhubaneswar: Bimal Prasad Sharma has taken over charge as the first Odia Executive Director of Bank of India in Mumbai Head Office recently. Born in Berhampur in 1956, Sharma joined in Punjab National Bank (PNB) as an officer in 1984.
A versatile banker having ample working experience in different business exposure, Sharma has worked in different capacities of the bank. His banking career mainly related with HR & MSME sector. He had also worked as Circle Head of Odisha in PNB.
Prior to his present assignment he was working as GM of Punjab National Bank, New Delhi.
It is worthwhile to mention that Sharma is the second Odia appointed as Executive Director of a nationalised bank which is a great pleasure and pride of the state.
