Report by OD Correspondent; New Delhi: ‘Duiti Tarara Rati’, an Odia music album, was released by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azaad, in a function held in New Delhi on Friday. The album contains eight Odia modern songs. Dr Arun Kumar Panda, a 1984-batch IAS officer belonging to the Odisha cadre, has rendered his voice for the songs. The lyrics of the songs have been penned by acclaimed Odia lyricist and former vice-chancellor of Ravenshaw University, Devdas Chhotray. Om Prakash Mohanty has composed the music for the album. The launch took place in an event held at the India Islamic Cultural Centre in Lodhi Road in New Delhi. The event was jointly organised by SaReGaMa, the music company that has produced the album, and the Institute for Promotion and Research on Odisha Culture and Heritage (IPROCH), a Delhi-based society working towards the promotion of Odia culture and heritage.
