Report by OD bureau; New Delhi: Internationally acclaimed Odia sculptor Tutu Pattnaik has been selected to participate International Sculpture Symposium in France. He is the only sculptor from India participated in this international completion, which will be held in from 2nd - 17th June 2012.
Only four sculptors from world wide selected for this competition. sculptor Tutu Pattnaik invited to create monumental sculptures in Castle Of Black Prince, Lormont, at Bordeaux, France. The competition will be held on the theme of 'Guard of the Prince'.
This Delhi-based renowned Odia sculptor participated over 100 international symposium and recognised by state Lalit Kala Academy and Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi. He participated in various international sculpture completion held in Germany, Russia, France, UK and other countries.
He was awarded with AIFACS, Award New Delhi, in 1988, 1990 & 1999, Vice-Chancellor Award, Delhi University – 1990, 20th Lalit Kala Academy, State Award, Orissa – 1992, 57th Academy of Fine Art Award, Calcutta – 1992, 23rd Annual Art Exhibition Award, Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi – 1994, 24th Annual Art Exhibition Award, Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi – 1996, 26th Annual Art Exhibition Award, Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi – 1999, 118th Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teacher's Award, N.Delhi-2005 and III rd Prize in Competition of Paintings among Sculptors at IIIrd International Sculpture Symposium, Penza, Russia – 2010.
