Air-rifle shooting training camp held in Orissa’s Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: A free preliminary air-rifle shooting training camp organised by the Utkal Karate School (UKS) end on Monday at Bhubaneswar. UKS chief Hari Prasad Pattanayak said as many as 20 young shooters above 15 years of age participated in the camp. Experienced instructors provided them physical exercise, mind training and 10-minute air-rifle shooting.  Minister for Planning & Coordination AU Singh Deo distributed certificates to the successful participants of the free preliminary air-rifle shooting training camp organised by the Utkal Karate School (UKS).

Minister for Planning & Coordination AU Singh Deo has taken initiative for development of sports in the State with funding from Periphery Development Fund (PDF) of industrial houses.

He said that as the State Government has asked the mega industries to contribute 5 per cent of their net profit to the PDF, at least 1 per cent of the out of the contribution should be allowed for sports development. He was speaking at the prize-giving ceremony of a weeklong Air-Rifle Shooting Training Summer Camp here on Sunday.
