Cuttack: The host Accounts General of Odisha defeated AG Rajkot in the floodlit final by 42 runs and emerged champion in the All India Audit and Accounts Cricket Tournament, which concluded at Barabati Stadium here on Tuesday. Former State Ranji all-rounder P Jayachandra smashed 121 runs in 100 balls was studded with five to the fence and six over it and well supported by Govinda Poddar, who scored 79 runs and powered the host to lift the title for the fourth times. Batting first, East zone champion Odisha gathered a massive 237 runs in stipulated 35 overs for the loss of four wickets. In reply, AG Rajkot bowled out for 195 runs in 34.4 overs. Rahul Dave was the only fighter, who scored 93 runs but other batsman failed to face the Odisha bowlers. Jayachandra and Dave adjudged as man of the final and man of the tournament respectively. Brief score: AG Odisha 237/4 in 35 overs (P Jayachandra 121, Govind Poddar 79; Sagar Bhojnani 3/34) beat AG Rajkot 195 in 34.4 overs (Rahul Dave 93) by 42 runs.
