Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s first international woman cricketer Madhuri Mehta and spinner Rasanara Parwin, both of Balangir, got berth in the list of 30 probables for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2012 to be played in Sri Lanka from September 26 to October 7.

Both of them have been selected on the basis of their outstanding performances in the BCCI Domestic Tournament 2011-12 in the women category. The opener Madhuri was the member of national squad in the West Indies tour. Rasanara is a permanent member of the State team, she came to limelight when she scalped five wickets by giving only three runs against Jharkhand in a East Zone Cricket tournament.

“I have to perform better to get a place in the national team,” said Madhuri while Rasanara said, “This is great to be at national probable squad and I will prove myself”.
