Bhubaneswar: The 'B' team of local tribal school, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) emerged champions in the School Tag Rugby Tournament, defeating KIIT International School 18-15 in the final at Unit-VI Boys’ High School ground here today.
KISS 'A' finished third, edging out Venkateswar English Medium School (Chandrasekharpur) 13-12. Earlier in the semifinals, KISS 'B' beat KISS 'A', while KIIT International got the better of Venkateswar English Medium School.
Altogether 14 schools, comprising of a total of 168 boys and girls, participated in the day-long tournament, which was organised by Odisha Rugby Football Association in collaboration with Tag Rugby Trust India.
Other team teams in the fray included Padasahi School, Nandankanan School, Marichia School, Sai International School, Unit-VI VEMS, Sri Aurobindo School, Pokhariput DAV School, Unit-VI Boys’ High School, Baleswar Combined School, Khandagiri School.
