Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: Students of KiiT International School have arranged a mini Marathon on 29th Aug 2012. Prof. (Dr.) Harekrishna Satapathy, Hon’ble VC, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati and Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder KIIT University, flagged off the first ever KIIT- Athon.

The KiiT- Athoners were the primary and middle year students, along with the teachers. This was held to commemorate National Sports Day and to spread the message that KiiT International School believes in holistic grooming and experiential learning, which is the essence of international schooling. KiiT International School advocates learning beyond classroom because these are the demands of globalization and international varsities.

Hence to place Odisha on the global platform KiiT International School offers IBDP (Geneva), IGCSE (Cambridge, UK) and CBSE (India). The sports and wellness club of KiiT-IS have also joined hands with KiiT-Athoners for 'save energy' awareness drive. Dr. Monalisha Bal, Chairman, KiiT-IS; Mr. Sanjay Suar, Pricipal; Ms. Emma Pacilli, Coordinator, KiiT IB Diploma; Surendra Nath Mohanty, Administrator, KiiT-IS  and other officials were also present on the occasion.
