Report by OD bureau; Bhubaneswar: An international Traditional ITF Taekwondo Championship was held in Sanghai ( CHiNA) from 18th August to 21st August’2iO12. About 610 piayer from 17 Asian team has participated in different Taekv/on-do event . A 40 member team from Indian lead by team manager cum international instructor Smt. Rachana Chourasia has participated in the event.

The Indian team left from Delhi on 16m August Morning towards Sanghai and returned on 24th August to Delhi. The only participant from Odisha Mr. Sheikh Munawar (Hnd Dan) participated in the above event in individual sparring and snatched a medal which brings glory to our state. Mr. Ramesh Ch. Minister of Sports am‘ W40 & Youth Affairs congratulated him for his success and wis 1 him for bright future. {Li Ex-minister Mr. Puspendu Singh Dec and Pradipta Kumar Naik, also congratulated him . Mr. Munawar stated that to participate in international Taekwon-do event the participant should have a lot of practice and physical as well as mental fitness He should be free from any mental pressure.

To participate in the above event Mr. l\/lunawar W& s in need of Rs 100 Lakh which was very difficult for him to afford as he belo 19s to a lower middle class family. Any how he arranged the amount because of his strong determination and hardwork Mr. l\/iunawar has trained himself in Delhi under Mr. Narendra Singh Rawat, Kaushal Kumar and Master B.Rajendran. in the coming days Mr. Munawas is preparing to participate in he World Marshal Game to held at Bankok, Thailand and World lTF Taekon do Championship. In addition to this he is also teaching his student to attend at International level.
