Bhubaneswar: All India Football Federation (AIFF) short listed a 23 eves footballer on Tuesday, in which four Odia players conformed their berth.
Subhaprabha Rout, Tikina Samal, Rachita Mallick and Sinulata Sahu are the Odisha players selected in the national squad. Altogether 57 players including five from the state were participated in the trail-cum-selection camp at Gandhinager in Gujarat from September 10 to October 16.
Out of 57 campers, 36 selected in the probables list, finally 23 players picked up in the national team.
The team will leave Mumbai on Wednesday, to participate in the AFC U-19 Football Tournament to held at Malaysia. Unfortunately, the name of Kushalya Barik of the state did not figure in the final lists.
