Bhubaneswar: Odisha International Master Swayams Mishra continued his unbeaten run in the NIT Nagpur GM International Open Chess Tournament, drawing his eighth and ninth round games against West Bengal Grandmaster Neelotpal Das and Chandigarh's Himal Gusain respectively at Nagpur today.
Swayams now has six points in his account and shares the fourth place with 17 others.
He will next meet Ukrain Grandmaster Andrey Vovk tomorrow.
Odisha Woman Grandmaster Padmini Rout (5.5) posted a creditable win over IM Saptarshi Roy (Railways) in the eighth round, but lost her next game against Russia GM Andrei Deviatkin.
Among three other Odisha players, IM Sekhar Chandra Sahu (5.5), Utkal Ranjan Sahoo (5.5) and Sidhant Mohapatra (4.5) were placed 48th, 51st and 78th respectively.
After completion of ninth round, Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman GM emerged sole leader with 7.5 points.
