Bhubaneswar: Ravikant Singh and SS Debnath of West Bengal (WB) scalped three wickets each and guided the team beat Odisha by 29 runs in the Vinoo Mankad U-19 East Zone one-day cricket tournament held at Guwahati in Assam on Monday.
Winning the toss WB elected to bat first, opener AR Keshri smashed 61 runs and stitched 81 runs for the second wicket with AR Easwaran, who contributed 49 runs. WB scored 194 runs in 45.2 overs. RP Patel of Odisha bagged three wickets and put a break in the WB smooth scoring.
In reply, chasing a small target, Odisha lost wickets in regular interval. The accuracy bowling of WB bowlers restricted Odisha innings in 165 runs in the 44.2 overs. With the win WB bagged four points.
