Voters can log on to www.ceoorissa.nic.in for detailed information, an official release said here on Monday. Inclusion, exclusion and rectification of names can be made till publication of a supplementary list before the general election, the release added.
According to CEO Alaka Panda, voters are requested to go through the website to trace out errors in the voters' list. For correction of any sort they should lodge complains in prescribed forms with the concerned sub collectors, she added.
Keeping January 1 as the date of eligibility, the correction of electoral roll has earlier been conducted and the finalised electoral roll for 144 constituencies in the state was published on January 15 while for the rest three constituencies in Bhubaneswar, it was published on January 21. As per the new system introduced by the Election Commission, all registered political parties are required to appoint booth-wise agents to bring transparency in the correction process at grass root level.
The parties, who have not appointed agents so far should complete it by February 16, the CEO urged, adding that concerned sub collectors should write to the political parties in this regard. A special correction drive will be held on February 21 and 22 through the booth-wise agents, she informed.
