Report by Dipti Ranjan kanungo , Bhubaneswar : “The centre government stopped the financial assistance by abolishing the Non-formal Sikhya Sahayak and then EGS teachers.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has engaged unemployed these 22,948 teachers as Mass Education teacher . After training they will be appointed as regular teacher “- said Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra inaugurating state level 2nd year foundation day of the Mass Education Teachers Federation as Chief Guest here held at the Primary Teachers Bhawan premises.
He further said that the demand of regular teacher is reasonable but they should not forget their responsibilities towards the society. The President of the Federation Jayantalal Sahoo Presided over the Occasion. Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai as Chief Speaker said that the Education Budget in the Naveen Patnaik headed government has increased three times than the Congress government.During the year 1999-2000 Budget for the Education was 1600 crore and during the year 2009-10 it will exceed 4 thousand crore.
School and Mass Education Minister Sanjib Sahoo said the government is under active consideration of the problems of the Mass Education Teachers. Umakanta Nayak put forth the problems of the Mass Education Teachers. The Advisor of the federation Priyadarshi Mishra demanded for training and appointment as regular teacher .General secretary Haresh Hagh read out the annual report .
