Report by Manoj Kumar Das; Koraput: Today peace committee called Bandh at Semiliguda of Koraput District of Orissa. Entire Semiliguda, Sunabeda (NAC), Damanjodi were affected with bandh. The market places were closed and the movements of vehicles were disrupted. The NH-43 at Semiliguda were closed/blocked with Rickshaws and local peoples. But it was ascertained the strike where all the schools and colleges were closed including the shopping complexes was opposite in HAL Township. The Schools and Colleges were remained open including the shopping complexes. There was less effect of bandh at Sunabeda (HAL). The Bandh was headed by Anand Kihani, President of Peace Committee; General Secretary, Preetam Padhi; and members:- Jagdish Khosla (Z.P.), Purab Khillo, Pati Kanta, Budhi Kanta, Trinantk Kanta and others in general public of Semiliguda joined hands in the bandh. “The bandh was called as a protest to CMAS activities and to maintain peace in the district” said Anand Kishani.
