Shimla: A warm reception was accorded to Shri Mahinda Rajpaksha, President of Sri Lanka and his wife Smt. Shriranthi Rajapksha on their arrival at Raj Bhawan, Shimla yesterday.

They were received by Smt. Urmila Singh, Governor, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Health Minister, Smt. Vidya Stokes, Leader of Opposition, Shri Kaul Singh Thkaur, President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Smt. Asha Swaroop, Chief Secretary, Lt. Gen. A.S Lamba, GOC-in-C, ARTRAC, Shimla and Dr. D.S. Manhas, DGP on the occasion. Besides this senior civil and police officers were also present among others on the occasion.

A dinner was also hosted by the Governor in honour of the President and Sri Lankan delegation on the occasion.
