Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: After two hugely thriving concerts in the build-up series leading up to the Clonefest Soundcheck Series this year, music fanatics got one more reason to exult as Delhi rockers Them Clones performed the third build-up gig on 22nd July’12 at the Delhi’s Mecca of rock music- Café Morrison. Delhi based band Them Clones is one of India's best known bands who've been together for more than a decade now. The gig unveiled Them Clones’ lead guitarist- Gucci’s side project ‘Crazy Weather’, as the band gave its debut live performance for 45-minutes and swayed the crowd to headband along with them. The band comprises of the trio- Arpan G on bass and vocals; Daniel Rajan on drums and Gucci Singh on guitar and vocals. The line-up for the night had rocking performances by four established Delhi bands- Grammy Winning Effort, The Circus,Five 8 and Emperor Minge. Commenting on the event, Mr. Sidharth Talwar, Co- owner of Cafe Morrison said, “I have been a part of the initial Clonefest and it is awesome to see so many artistic and exceptionally talented bands play under one roof. It is thrilling and we are happy to host such an awesome show. My audience loved it.” Them Clones is acclaimed of bagging a number of awards including ‘Best Song', 'Best Vocalist' and 'Best Drummer' in Jack Daniel's Rock Awards 2009. They have come up with this annual fest that features India’s established rock bands and also encourages budding bands by giving them a dais that they share with experts in rock music.
