Shimla: A sum of Rs. 8.65 lakh had been sanctioned by the Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal to 11 persons for their treatment and other emergencies from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. These include Rs. two lakh to Shri Jiwan Kumar of village Behad Jaswan, district Una, Rs. 1.50 lakh to Shri Kulvinder of Village Ajauli, Tehsil and District Una, Rs. one lakh to Shri Padam Dev Sharma of village Chebri, Tehsil Suni, District Shimla, Rs. 90,000 to Smt. Poonam of village Puruwala Kanshipur, Tehsil Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur, Rs. 80,000 to Shri Bheem Singh of village Kanah, Tehsil Chopal, District Shimla, Rs. 75,000 to Smt. Urmila Devi of village Nain, Tehsil Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur, Rs. 50,000 to Shri Kahan Chand of village Khamrot, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi, Rs. 50,000 to Shri Tilak Ram of village Pasta, Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi, Rs. 25,000 to Shri Balak Ram of village Sarma, Tehsil Arki, District Solan, Rs. 25,000 to Shri Rajeev Kumar of village Bhulli, Tehsil Khundian, district Kangra and Rs. 20,000 to Shri Piru of village Bhaur, Tehsil Bhoranj, District Hamirpur for their treatment. These persons belong to poor families and could not manage to arrange money for their treatment which was required urgently.

Chief Minister Relief Fund has saved many precious lives who otherwise could not afford expenses on account of treatment. Over Rs. 23.20 crore had been given to more than 12050 persons for their treatment and also in other emergent during last four and a half years from this Fund.

Chief Minister has also urged people to contribute generously for CM Relief Fund as the money so collected is used for helping the poor and needy.
