Shimla: Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister said that investment of Rs. 10,202 crore had been made in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industrial Area during last four and a half years. He said that 4307 industrial units had been set up in which employment to 57817 persons including 46217 himachali youth had been provided.

Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after inaugurating second unit of Aishwarya Life Sciences Farma constructed at a cost of Rs. 80 crore in Lodhi majra in Nalagarh area of Solan district which would provide employment to 300 persons.

Chief Minister said that Lodhimajra industrial area had been developed during the present government regime He said that Rs. 647 crore would be invested in this area out of which Rs. 347 crore had already been invested. He said that Government was committed to provide all basic infrastructural facilities in the area to facilitate the people.

Prof. Dhumal said that a women hostel had been constructed at Jharmajari at a cost of RS. 11 crore to facilitate the working women and added that work on labour hostel for working men was also under construction on which Rs. 12 crore would be spent. He said that Rs. 60 crore had been spent in Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Area (BBNDA) area for construction and maintenance of roads and other basic amenities.

Shri Arun Rawat, President, BBNIA thanked the Chief Minister for providing concessions being under various schemes and reducing Electricity cess from 20 to 17 percent which had benefitted the entrepreneurs.

Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MLA and General Secretary, State BJP, Shri Chander Mohan Thakur, Chairman, H.P. State Cooperative Bank, Shri Laj Kishore Sharma, Chairman, Jogindera Bank and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
