Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: After making the audience crazy with her song “Yeh Kasoor” from Jism-2, Sonu Kakkar gives yet another sensational number. Unlike her previous song – Yeh Kasoor- which was a mellow heart touching track, the song “Sing Raja” from film Joker is a fast paced desi dance number. The song is co-sung by Punjabi Pop singer Daler Mehndi.

The USP of this song is the use of different languages blended with the bold desi beats which has made it popular amongst the audience. In a very less time the song has become a chartbuster hit. A blockbuster hit film “Khud-daar” of 1982 starring superstars like Amitabh Bachchan,Vinod Mehra and Sanjeev Kumar, too had such a song “Angrezi main kehta hain” which retains its popularity amongst the audience. The similarity between the 2 songs is that only a single line has been sung in different languages.

And with the song “Sing Raja” becoming popular amongst the audience; it sure seems like the 1982 hit track “Angrezi main kehte hain” continues to inspire the new age film maker and lyricists.
