Report by OD bureau, Lucknow : Taking serious view of reports that officials did not reach scenes of incidents and had not acted promptly, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav on Monday gave a terse warning to such errant officials and said repetition of such acts will not be tolerated in future. He warned that if complaints of this nature were brought to him in future stringent action would be initiated against callous officials.
Mr. Yadav also underlined that to maintain peaceful atmosphere, communal harmony and further strengthen law and order in the state was the top priority for the government and anybody trying to disrupt them would be dealt with a firm hand.
The Chief Minister said the responsibility of administrative officials was larger. He asked them to be alert all the time and to discharge their administrative duties to the best of their abilities. The Chief Minister further stated that to reach a troubled spot promptly and to bring the situation under control were job responsibilities of officials. At such times the officials were expected to show leadership qualities and their administrative acumen.
