Bhubaneswar: Police vacated the multi storied Aditya Plaza complex here today and pressed on the services of the bomb disposal squad as well as sniffer dogs, following a bomb threat. The building was vacated and scanned for a couple of hours but no trace of any explosive has been found.
Police sources said that the receptionist of Akash Institute, which occupies two floors of the building for providing tutorials to students, received a telephone call at around 10.45 am saying that a bomb had been planted in the building. The insituted reported the matter to the police who immediately vacated the building.
Till 3.00 pm the building was kept vacant and searched thoroughly said the police sources. It appears to be the handiwork of a prankster, while explaining that they were unable to trace the call since it had been received on a land line phone.
