Bhadrak: The Centre has asked the Orissa government to submit a report on the alleged conversion activities and subsequent attack on Christian missionaries in Bhadrak district.

Sources said that on November 4, workers of the NGO, Disciple Shift Centre working in Bhadrak district, tried to convert four Hindus of Bindha under Tihidi block.

When the news spread, activists of the Sangh Parivar attacked the NGO workers. However, after the timely intervention of the police, the NGO workers were rescued.

Expressing concern over the attack on the NGO workers and the Christian missionaries, the Centre asked the state to submit a report on this issue.

Meanwhile, the state government has asked the Bhadrak district administration to send a detailed report to the headquarters, which can be sent to the Centre.
